Deviled Eggs

Deviled eggs are a classic dish that is perfect for picnics, potlucks, and family gatherings. Here is a simple recipe to make them:

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • paprika for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
  • Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat and let the eggs simmer for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove the eggs from the heat and immediately place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  • Once the eggs have cooled, peel them and cut them in half lengthwise.
  • Remove the yolks and place them in a separate bowl.
  • Mash the yolks with a fork and add the mayonnaise, mustard, white wine vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until well combined and the mixture is smooth.
  • Spoon the yolk mixture back into the egg whites or use a piping bag to make them look more presentable.
  • Sprinkle paprika over the top of the eggs for garnish (optional).
  • Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
